Mr.Thepchai Yong, president of the Confederation of ASEAN Journalists (CAJ), sent a message of condolence to Mr.Pen Bona, president of the Club of Cambodian Journalists (CCJ), on the accident in Sihanoukville on 22 June 2019 that resulted in multiple casualties and injuries:

Dear Pen Bona;
On behalf of the Confederation of ASEAN Journalists (CAJ) I would like to offer my heart-felt condolences to the families and friends of the 28 Cambodian workers who died in the recent building collapse in Sihanoukville. I also want to share the Cambodian people’s grief over this tragic incident and hope that the injured will soon recover.
I would like to offer our moral support for the Cambodian people as they go through this distressing period.
